Privacy Policy

NUCA is operated by the individual named below. Google processes sign-in data under its own privacy policy.
We process your Google provider identifier, verified email and provider profile data to sign you in; your nickname, optional social links, registrations, event activity and reviewed results to run competitions. Session and CSRF cookies are necessary for the service. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Your email, sign-in identifiers and certificate name are private. NUCA is a public competition platform: using an account requires a separate affirmative checkbox consenting to publication of your nickname, profile, optional social links, competition roster and reviewed results. All required confirmations appear together before Google sign-in. Public certificate verification uses your nickname, never your certificate name.
A certificate name is optional, supplied and confirmed by you, and used only for your certificates. We do not verify legal identity or request identity documents. Full names are not sent to CTFd.
We retain account data while you use the service, and reviewed results while their publication is permitted. You can withdraw publication consent in Account; this hides your public profile and personal result labels and signs you out. Using the account again requires all current confirmations. Contact the operator to withdraw processing consent or request access, correction or deletion. Requests are verified before processing; account deactivation alone is not deletion.
Encrypted backup retention currently keeps up to three monthly recovery points on staging and twelve on production, plus daily and weekly points. Plain local bundles are retained for two days on staging and three on production. Erasure requests must also be reapplied after recovery; backup data expires according to retention. Logs are bounded by the configured container log rotation.
Sharing with Google, infrastructure providers and public publication is described here so you can make an informed choice.
